Here’s something I wrote about Sean.
People make fun of Sean Lennon for thinking that his father was assassinated by some faction of the American Government, but really isn’t that what John would have thought?
Elvis was ok with them although possibly a bit scared that he was losing it as Col Tom was ruining his mid 60s career – Elvis had a problem w their illegal drug use although couldn’t see that his legal drug use was perhaps worse – John famously said that Elvis died when he went into the army – but John especially was a huge fan – Paul owns Bill Black’s bass – and Elvis stared performing some of their songs in the early 70s – different generations – whatever Elvis thought of their lifestyle or their politics I’m guessing he respected the music very much and that was always Elvis’ biggest concern – well second to getting cool DEA type badges from the Government 🙂
The Beatles were admirers of his work and, although John Lennon said they enjoyed his company very much, Elvis himself, ironically, thought that they were a bad influence on America’s youth.
