Mathematically, it’s a pretty bad idea not to believe in God. Even if the probability that there is a God is as little as 1%, who wants to play Russian Roulette with eternal happiness vs. eternal torment. Atheists have to be pretty damn arrogant to blow off a free lottery ticket like that just to be able to feel superior about being men of reason. When it comes down to looking inside of souls, there are hundreds of millions more true atheists than the ones who admit to it in public.
Of course, these idiots who claim to be agnostics are really pussies. They are atheists, who refuse to give up the free lottery ticket. I doubt there is a God, but if there is “Hell yes I want in!” Take a stand you pussies! I guess I’m an agnostic.
The new fad is to say that you aren’t religious, but that you are spiritual. I have no idea what that even means. Maybe that’s my problem.
All of you theism0hating atheists are a bunch of stuck-up and prejudiced dickheads who have nothin’ better to do than shit on religion followers. So what if they live in this world? You aren’t their literal owners.
If there are people are theists, let ’em be. I acknowledge how true it is that there are nasty theists out there. But that doesn’t mean all of them.
If you lump theists into one category, that proves what closed-minded assholes you are. So do me a favor and shove your anti-theism bullshit up your asses and leave theists alone. If you get back at every hostile theist there is, then you’re no better than them.
Atheists are arrogant?
It is believers who think they are so important that an omnipotent, omniscient, invisible being in the sky loves them, cares about every insignificant detail of their life and looks after and protects them every moment of the day.
It is believers who think their guy in the sky took time out from his busy schedule to design and build the whole universe, with it’s billions of galaxies, especially for them.
It is believers who think they are a ‘special’ people who are going to heaven while everyone else is going to burn in hell for all eternity.
The problem with Pascal’s Wager is that it assumes that there are only two choices-your god and no god and that this deity rewards on faith, yet there are thousands of gods that are worshipped on the planet and supposing the afterlife does exist then the deity judging you could just as plausibly be Ra or Allah then someone devoted their life worshipping a delusion and still went to eternal torment. Also, religion drains someone’s time and energy which could be given to real people which someone can see and touch.
“As low as 1%.”
What about something much closer to 0%? Something like exactly 0%?
