Brad Laidman Pop Learning Service: Free

This is the launch of my free Brad Laidman Pop Learning Service and its Delcaration of Principles.

Here was Charles Foster Kane’s “Declaration of Principles.” Kane did not live up to them, and the original copy got torn up. I hope that does not happen with mine.

It will never cost a penny, unless you want to spend money on it.

All you have to do to use it is comment anywhere on this site asking to use it or email me at brad.laidman@gmail.com

If you ever feel pressured for money or bothered with it, just block my email address, and you will never hear of it again. I encourage you, if that promise is not met, to do whatever you want on the internet slurring my name and service as much as you want.

Here is all you need to do.

Tell me what you want to learn, where you are at in learning it, and how much you are willing to pay (to others, not me) to learn it well or start to learn it well.

Here are some examples of what you will get.

Example One:

“I’d like to learn about Geography and am willing to pay untold fortunes to do so. Please help.”

Response:

“Wow, cool goal. I know nothing about geography. I barely know where I am geographically right now. I’m sadly not your guy. Good luck, learning. Good learning about anything is awesome.

“Thank you for using the Brad Laidman Pop Learning Service.”

I think I know as much about stock options as anyone alive. They are not for everyone. Tell me who you are, and I will tell you what they are good for and why. I may tell you that they are not for you. I may tell you the way others make money from them, and that you can’t do that, but that there are ways you can achieve your small goals with them, not knowing as much as the people who achieve their big ones knowing more.

Plenty of people will charge you and not tell you that. I wouldn’t pay them a dime.

Example Two:

“I’d like to learn about Leonard Cohen.”

Response:

“Wow, cool goal. I like Leonard Cohen and appreciate him to an extent. I pretty much only know a small sample of his songs that I like, and know that were it not for Bob Dylan, he probably would have just been a poet and never sung a note in his life. I’m sadly not your guy.

“Here is a song of his to watch on YouTube that I like that you may not have heard. Enjoy it there for free.

“Thank you for using the Brad Laidman Pop Learning Service.”

Example Three:

“I know nothing about Elvis Presley, but want to and have some funds and desire to learn about him and appreciate him.”

Response:

“Wow, cool goal. Tough topic to do correctly and productively. I think that I am exactly your guy.

“Here’s a free video to watch on YouTube that I think is fun and cool:

“Here’s a free thing I wrote telling why I think it is fun and cool and a good first step.

Elvis and Jackie Wilson: True Soul Brothers

“Here are further suggestions with time needed and cost to pay others not me

  1.  HBO has a great documentary called Elvis Presley: The Searcher. It is very good. It has two parts, and I think it is a little less than two hours in full. You have to have HBO to see it.
  2. Peter Guralnick wrote two very long great books about Elvis Presley that are pretty definitive: Last Train to Memphis: The Rise of Elvis Presley and Careless Love: The Unmaking of Elvis Presley. You have to buy those and they are very long and time consuming to read. Whether  you want to spend that time and money is up to you.
  3.  I’d first watch Elvis ’56 on Amazon. It’s free if you have Amazon Prime, and I believe only costs $2.99 to watch. It takes less than an hour to watch and it is a very good first step in my opinion.

“If this doesn’t help, please refine your question and I will refine my response.

“Thank you for using the Brad Laidman Pop Learning Service.”

At any point, you can pay me say $1 on PayPal or whatever you like through my email address and continue to use my service.

At all points, I will answer any questions about your service as honesly as I can.

If you do use my service and at some point feel ripped off or cheated, tell me, and I will send you back whatever you paid to the best of my current ability to do so.

I won’t ever contact you for more. You will have to contact me for more.

Right now, I have a lot of time and a little money to give out my services for free. My willingness at any level to continue may depend on money, but at all times I will update you on that and you can continue or stop using it.

At all times you can block my email address, slur my name or my service, and never hear from me again. That is a promise I intend to keep.

No debating will ever happen. Questions will only be answered honestly. Maybe, we will become friends of some sort. I could use some good friends, and I often give them things for free.

Maybe I will learn from you, and send you money on PayPal.

If you use my service and are treated well, either for no money or some money, please spread the word. If the opposite happens, spread that word, I think you should.

“Thank you for using the Brad Laidman Pop Learning Service.”
