Just Let the Kid Go to the Bathroom!

This has many personal implications for me in many different ways. Jews, language, teachers, learning, but most of all colitis.

I had some form of colitis. When I had to go to the bathroom, which was often, I had to go immediately.

I love learning. I love teaching. I love teachers.

I had a teacher, either good or not, who left her classroom for five minutes. After one minute, I had to go to the bathroom. After three, I went to the bathroom.

When I got back, she gave me a detention and I took it. I then asked her for a pass to see the nurse.

I told the nurse I had colitis and she told me that she would give me a pass to be anywhere at any time. I would have abused that privilege but never had to.

Then she called the teacher in and reamed her out.

My very rich, very good looking, Jewish friend jumped off a building probably because he had colitis.

Every time a teacher is trying to teach a goof off something good and he does not want to learn it, the goof off will say, “Can I go to the bathroom?” 99% of the time, he is trying to avoid learning something you think is important that he learn.

Your first job as a teacher is to let him go to the bathroom anyway.
