I think that my friend Michael York, who has been in prison may have been in prison for too long.
I think that he did not get adequate representation and from what he has told me he was in no condition to see to it that he got it.
He may or may not need to still be in jail, but I sincerely think that outside of jail he would be a positive credit and help to those outside of jail who have made mistakes and that seems to be all of us.
There are two sides to every story, but it is very hard to find Michael York’s story or pictures of him on the internet.
His wife Heather Sedivy York did pass in an ugly incident and it is far more important to think of her first and Michael York from what I can tell wants her to be remembered first. So let’s do that and say a prayer for her and regret her passing.
From every indication she was a wonderful woman, and I’ve learned how wonderful she was mostly from Michael York.
Here is a picture of Michael York now. By all indications, he is remorseful for whatever his mistakes have been and has been positive and productive since his incarceration, which has been tough and seems to be a very tough thing to do. I know that I couldn’t do it.
This is a picture of Michael York’s wonderful grandfather who doted on him, especially after his parents divorced, and Michael rarely if ever saw his father. It tore Michael York apart to see him attend his trial, where he was unable to defend himself every day, but he was there for him. In the picture, he is still there for him, and it still tears Michael York apart every day now and every day since his incarceration.
Right now Michael York has received a lot of credit for honorably working with animals twelve hours a day, it is the best part of his day every day. The rest is tough because he has trouble sleeping and getting by where he is incarcerated.
This is Michael York’s mother, who had a tough go of it with little money, but I saw her raise her son very well. She is having a tougher time now and her son agonizes over it every day, but they always loved each other and I never saw them as anything, but upbeat and positive. When I knew Michael York best in my youth, he was the best person I knew and he always gave all the credit to his mother and grandfather.
Personally, I would love for Micahel York’s trial and continued incarceration to be looked into to determine if prison if the best use of his positive spirit and the money that seems wasted keeping him in jail. He does great work with animals, but I think that if released he would do that and much more for free without the tax money that is currently being used to incarcerate him, make him suffer, and prevent him from showing how he has become an even better person than I grew up with.
That is not what Michael York wants most though. Michael York most wants people to remember and cherish his wife’s too short time with us.
I may be totally wrong about this because I have not spent significant time with Michael York since my youth, but I’ve been in as much touch as possible recently and talked to people who love him. It’s a waste of money and opportunity for the world to have him in jail.

Thanks, I’ve tried really hard to get a trial transcript, but so far I’ve only gotten images from the court on the decisions which I linked to the previous post that you commented on. If you can send me the transcript that would be great and anything inaccurate that I have written I will do my best to notate and correct as quickly as possible. I know exactly what the photos will show. They will show the worst possible suffering and I do not really want to see that but I can’t imagine anyone close to me having to see them. I sympathize with anyone who has gone through that pain in any way and I’d love to stop it from ever happening to anyone again.
Pretty much the only thing that Michael York has told me other than old fond memories we have is how he tries to make up for his crime where he did exactly what the crime photos show, and that he regrets it every day and tries to do as much as he can to make up for it and show his remorse. Currently, pretty much every prison official around him vouches that he does that every day. He works 12 hours a day with animals for about 20 cents an hour and almost never sleeps because of his prison conditions.
You may be right. He may deserve to have to do that to pay for what he did do. I sympathize with him because something clearly snapped and from what I have learned from others that knew him that was the only time he acted that way in his life. It may be a mental illness thing or it may have been a choice. It doesn’t really matter because it happened and nothing can change that.
If he is a sociopath (and I understand why people would think he is) I haven’t seen it. I only want everything true to be said about him. It is true that he did what those crime scene photos show.
Please send me the transcripts, and I will print them in full and adjust anything I have written that was inaccurate.
I’m very sorry for any pain that was caused by Michael York, but personally, I think it is time to forgive him based on the evidence of how he has lived his life, and there any many things on the internet now that I can prove are untrue. There are many petitions on the internet begging him to show remorse and I can prove that he has tried or done that many times. If anyone wants a letter from him apologizing or showing any kind of remorse, I think I can make that happen.
I honestly want to decrease the pain from this horrible crime as much as I can and I will do anything to do it that is honest. I’d like to see him paroled, but if anyone doesn’t I understand completely.
Thank you for any way that you can shed light on what did happen, and if I ever write anything inaccurate please correct me and I will fix it and say it was wrong because I do make mistakes. I made some mistakes in my original post and fixed them and apologized for them. They were my mistakes though. I misunderstood and implied that Michael York may have been innocent and Michael York insisted that I change it because he told me he was 100% was guilty, which was what his lawyer said in court.

Get a copy of the trial transcript and crime scene photos, then see what your best pal did…The only thing that you know about this brutal murderer is what he is telling you…which clearly shows the sociopath that he is.
