I’m a big Frank Capra fan, but I just heard a quote from It’s a Wonderful Life that’s made me think:
Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings
That just seems like a really inefficient way of giving out wings. If evil people started to boycott bells, wouldn’t this severely cripple heaven? I can understang Church bells giving out wings, but imagine all those angels whose wings came from Ice Cream carts. I would feel really silly if all my friends got their wings from Big Ben ringing and I got mine because somebody at a Holiday Inn in Ashtebula needed more toilet paper.
