I just found out that the firm I used to work for and thought treated me badly has only gotten much worse since I’ve been gone. This is hard to believe but I have it from good sources. They had an anonymous suggestion box being monitored by a security camera!

Who says Jim Morrison wasn’t a poet?
You’re all a bunch of fucking slaves! How long are you gonna let them push you around? I tell you this, man, I tell you this I don’t know what’s gonna happen, man, but I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames. Alright!
Being Poor: It’s like drinking beer forever for free!
It’s bad enough that all of the wealth in the world is owned and controlled by like 10% of the population, but it’s downright annoying when the rich people try to whine and make you feel sorry for them. Read the below screed that was written by an Economics Professor to whine about the burden …

George W. Bush’s Last State of the Union Speech
He’s just walked out, which means I’m about to switch over to cable. I’m just going to assume that he walked out, said “I still has another year to fuck up the entire world,” and then maniacally laughed. If anyone sees anything much different on CNN.com give me a call. Well, give me a call, …

Two and a Half Men: I missed the boat
I never watched this show and now that it’s on, well like 6 times a day – I’ve succumbed to it wholeheartedly. I think I never gave it a chance because I perceived it as a one joke show. And you know what? It is, but it turns out to be a really really good …
Steve Earle: Been called a traitor and a patriot
Bonehead that I am and so in agreement with the awesomely rowdy yet less than Dylan like chorus, I never even heard that the last line of the song pays tribute to Lenny Bruce, and yet how could it not? Here he dedicates an early version to Lenny. And to think the Dixie Chicks think …

Bobby Fischer: Should We Worship Brilliance?
Some thoughts on the passing of Grade A wack job Bobby Fischer.
Brilliance and Mood Disorders
On a related note to my Bobby Fischer post above. A psychiatrist I went to and I had maybe one interesting conversation in the entire time we saw each other. He had a ton of Vincent Van Gogh books in his office. I asked him if this was due to his profession and Van Gogh’s …
Finding Future Stars in Agony
I’ve been unproductive of late. I need to get my shoulder scoped and I’m full of pain medication that isn’t exactly doing it’s job. So unable to do anything else, I’ve continued to download old episodes of Lou Grant from iTunes. It’s a little heavy handed and Ed Asner is nowhere near as cranky and …
Mr. Warmth has some racial editing
Just watched HBO’s Mr. Warmth about Don Rickles, who is really a lovely man. Oddly, whereas the documentary deals with Rickles racial humor head on, it does some editing when it comes to Johnny Carson. There was a famous occurrence on the Tonight Show where Rickles accidentally broke Carson’s lucky cigarette box. The next day …
Heath Ledger: My man crush is gone.
I can’t believe it my man crush since the days of 10 Things I Hate about You has died. I don’t think I’ve ever been so shocked by a death in my life. River Phoenix was pretty shocking, but I didn’t see this coming at all. When I was told my first thoughts were “No …
Terry Gilliam still cursed
Heath Ledger was set to star in his The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. If you want your movie to go over budget due to incredibly bad luck, of course Terry Gilliam is still your man.
Rudy Giuliani all in one quote
Rudy Giuliani seemingly is running his campaign for President like a long distance runner conserving energy for a late push, which will either be seen as genius or folly in about six months. He’s a very competant guy that gets things done. He put a lot of gangsters and corrupt securities traders away, he cleaned …
Figure out this political math
CNNÂ announced that Hilary Clinton won a big victory in Nevada tonight despite the fact that she got 12 delegates and Barack Obama got 13. I’m too jaded to even try to figure this out at this point.
Does anyone really want to lynch Tiger?
Here’s the latest chapter in the world of offensive content.
